David Hill (choral director)
David Hill (born on 13 May 1957〔Weekend birthdays, "The Guardian", May 12, 2007. p. 43. Accessed on August 16, 2007.〕 in Carlisle, Cumberland), is a choral conductor and organist.
Beginning July 2013, he holds an appointment to the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.〔(Yale Institute of Sacred Music page for David Hill )〕
His most high-profile roles are as Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers since September 2007, and Musical Director of The Bach Choir since April 1998.〔(The Bach Choir Website )〕
He also holds the positions Chief Conductor of the Southern Sinfonia, and Music Director of the Leeds Philharmonic Society.

Hill was educated at Chetham's School of Music.
He was Organist and Director of Music at Westminster Cathedral from 1982–1987, at Winchester Cathedral from 1987-2002, and at St John's College, Cambridge from 2003-2007.
